COUP DE MAIN by Vincesanity

Coup de main, French for (blow with the hand), is a swift attack that relies on speed and surprise to accomplish its objective in a single blow, today is a day for Coup de Pied (blow with the feet).

Image         Act 1 of the world cup comes to a close with its crème de la crème group taking center stage. The group of death with Portugal Vs. Ghana and USA Vs. Germany are set to kick off, each with their very own subplots.

Portugal VS Ghana sets two teams currently looking in turmoil against each other. Portugal, infected with the same distrust that corrupted the 2010 French side will have to find a quick remedy and start believing in each other and get the ball to their main man Cristiano Ronaldo. Although Ronaldo looks less than 70% fit, that is still more talent than anyone else on his team and a player of his caliber only needs a split second to remind the world why he is loved and hated in equal parts. Portugal needs a win with a 4-0 margins or hope that Germany beats the US by 4.

Ghana also in turmoil but because of the same issue that afflicts African teams, their football associations denying them pay.  This issue has cause the Ghanaian association to send Kevin prince boating and its key midfielder Sulley muntari home from the world cup.  Ghana now looks to the leadership of Andre Ayew and the talismanic Micheal Essien to keep the team spirit afloat and focused to beat the Portuguese. Ghana’s pace and ferocity in attack gives them more than a chance to win the game and also the portuguese’s lack to stamina which was put on notice by Germany and the US will decide the game in the last 30 minutes. Ghana wins with the score 2-0.

David VS Goliath, Maximius Decimus Meridius vs Ceasar, and Germany VS USA, the hype for these face-offs are unparalled.  Both teams  are coached by Germans, but US coach Jürgen Klinsmann has been the special one in his own right from his work with rebuilding the 2006 Germany team and making this US team have a chance to advance from the group of death.  It takes a great coach to set achievable goals (semi finals), come up with the tactic and formation he thinks gives them the best chance and scouting the players that fit the mold and are wiling to work for the better of the team and finally the …..BALLS…to drop iconic Landon Donovan from the national team. All these moves have lead to the arrogance and confidence that exudes from the US team but they are facing a juggernaut in Germany, coached by klinsmann’s successor Joachim low. Although he inherited Klinsmann’s team he has yet to get to the final of the world cup and might be on the hot seat if he does not deliver with this team which most think is the best German team every assembled.

Both teams advance with a draw, which the US will be hoping for but Germany is a prideful nation and will want to show klinsmann that he should have stayed home. The Germans are professionals at Coup De Pied and with the world watching why not let it fly.

I am concerned for the future of my unborn black children in a Donald Sterling world..

As you all can see I am a Nigerian Woman hoping to marry a Nigerian man  and together we will make some Nigerian-American babies by the grace of God.

The truth of matter is racism is still alive in America, and it will be here for a very long time. It doesn’t matter how many bans are placed on people. This situation will always find its way to creep back up. I hate to sound negative but it is reality. Racism exists in America. As you all are aware of the situation of what happened between Donald Sterling, the Clippers basketball team owner and his mistress. The telephone exchange between this man and his mistress telling her not to take pictures with black people that it makes him look bad….etc.

As a future Nigerian parent(by the grace of God) to Nigerian-American black children, I am very concerned for the future of my black children. I take care of children right now and I know that children naturally don’t see race; they see people which means racism is a learned behavior (as you already know). As a future parent, I will educate my children not to see race but their classmate’s parents may not be doing the same. Thus, most likely my black children will be discriminated against for no reason.

I have said this and I will say it again…Black people were forced out their country to come here and they were brutally punished for years. What crime did blacks commit to be subject to a lifetime of discrimination and prejudice? What did my future unborn children do to any of you to be subject of a life of hate? Exactly, they did nothing. Please parents, stop teaching your kids to hate people for no reason. My future unborn children deserve a fair chance in Donald Sterling world.

Thank and God bless America!!

My favorite Songs by Michael Jackson

Unlike other artists today, some of Michael Jackson’songs  made sense like:
1. Man in the Mirror

The song is catchy but it makes plenty of sense. If you want to make the world a better place start by changing yourself. We can’t change the world until we change ourselves.

2. White or Black

In this song, Michael Jackson addressed the importance of judging people based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin. In this video, MJ included other cultures such as African, Chinese, Indian and others. MJ is one of a few artists who has included international cultures into his music video. We get lost in creativity of his songs that we undermine the real message behind it. Stop being Racist.

3. Heal the World

Can you imagine the world we would have if our focus was on making this world, a better place for future generations? It takes all of us working together as team to make sure our kids have a pollution free planet with less concern about global warming. We have a lot to do.

4. We are the world

Songs like these make me admire MJ because unlike other artists he cared about people, our world, helping others as shown in his music. These songs still touch people today cos we are not all evil there’s some good in us (I like to believe). Yes, people do some crazy things; however, there’s a part in us capable of good.

4. They don’t really care about us

Black people have been brutalized by white people in the name of ignorance. Yes, some whites in US and South Africa are still buying into that white supremacy inferiority complex mentality. I have nothing against white people, I just hate people exploiting others because they can.

To today’s artists: stop singing about drugs, sex, relationship and other nonsense you sing about. Learn  from MJ and sing about stuff that will make an impact in people’s lives.

How Great is our God Day 13

We are fearfully and wonderfully made.. (Psalms 139: 14)

World race
God created us different from each other yet still unique and similar.
It takes an Amazing God to create different races of people with various  languages, cultures, traditions and customs..
God is a God of variety.
Thankfully, he didn’t create us all the same.
Imagine the world with just one set of race, custom, language, and way of life.

It is impossible to imagine right?
We serve a Mighty God!!

How Great is OUR GOD!!!

How Great is our God Day 12

How Great is our God Day 12

According to Scientists “earth is 75% water and 25% is land.”(http://soil.gsfc.nasa.gov/index.php?section=70)

It always amazes me how we have some land under sea level (remember New Orleans, Charleston SC).

How God keeps 75% of oceans from swallowing 25% of land is Amazing. We serve a Mighty God. Water has a lot of force and power.

Imagine if all this oceans rose sea level and covered all the lands. We would be gone in a blink of an eye. For our sake, God doesn’t like it happen.

How Great is our GOD!!
