Our biggest battle is not against racism, our enemies, Society, our Past experiences, background etc..etc.
Our biggest Battles takes place in our Minds.
If we lose in our minds, we will lose in Life.
If we win in our minds, we will win in Life.
Our Thoughts are powerful.
Our thoughts creates our Future.
What are you thinking about??
The author of Things Fall Apart is died.
Most of you had to read this book in high school or college.
He represented Nigeria well and shared our struggles with the world.
Make his soul R.I.P.
He is gone but his legacy lives on!!
Did you know that some people use one side of their brain more than the other?
If your right hand is more dominate than your left hand, you mostly use the left side of your brain.
If you use your left hand more, you probably use the right side of your brain more.
This picture explains it. (I got this picture from google images)
I learnt this in College.. so I don’t know how to cite this information.
You can read more about this on google or here
We are fearfully and Wonderfully Made-Psalms 139:14
Never go up to an African and say “Hakuna Matata” (I know lots of you will still do it, LOL).
Info from Google Scholar:
The producers used an African National Park called Hell’s Gate National Park in Kenya as the setting of this movie.
“hakuna matata“- Swahili phrase which means “There are no worries.”
Look at the picture below: Swahili is spoken in East African Countries (Info from Stanford.edu; click on the picture to read the full article). Yellow shaded regions are countries where Swahili is spoken the most.
Next time you meet an African from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi feel free to say “Hakuna Matata” (only when it is appropriate or you will embarrass yourself..LOL!).
*Never assume they know the language, it is more wise to ask first*
