DISILLUSIONAL PAST

Written by Emmanuel Ned

Strolling in the cozy and convivial arm of the evening is a culture so endearing and indispensable to me.
Often dressed in a quarter jean and T-shirt with my gadget(phone) and a headset passionately fixed into my ears plodding my soul with audio messages or music preferably.

I could still remember one of those thrilling moments with my headset stucked to my ears enjoying some pieces of music, when my ears decided to play some gimmicks with me.

It seemed i heard a car honk behind the pedestrian lane which i was plodding along.
In an attempt to give way to the pseudo vehicle behind me.

I stopped and looked back only to discover it was all disillusional pioneered by my mind and ears.Upon turning to go forward i dashed my leg against a stone and got bruised.

Few day later I had the same experience but i was smart enough never to stop, i only turned my head but still moving forward.

Guess what! I had no bruise.

Such is life, Only the smart takes the future.
The smart ones learn from the past but look to the future

Often times in life,we don’t need to stop the progress of today by going back to our past.

”learn from the past, look to the future, but live in the present”

The past is gone and the future is here. The memories of the past is often inundated with regrets, pains, failures, fustrations, trepidation and consternation.

The future is ever deluged with hope(s),opportunities, victories and possibilities.
Let go of the past if you dont want to dash the possibilities of the future.

”not holding on to the past rejuvenates enthusiasm to annex the future”

Often times life would always want to beguile us to dwelling in our pasts, which is filled with regrets and failures with the sole aim of maring the future.

The good news is certain,as the days unfold so the past is put into extinction unravelling the future.

You cannot re-write history but can only learn from it.

”We are made wise not by the re-collection of our past but by the responsibility of our future”- George Berrnard Shaw

Why are more Black men dating and marrying people outside of their race?

I think there’s a lag in communication between black men and black women.

Personally, I have nothing against black men dating people outside of their race; however, black women are losing their men to women of other races.

Hopefully, I can get some of you black men talking to help some black women understand why are you more prone to going outside of your race?
I have heard many answers from a few black men here and there but I want to hear from more black men.

Please, black men answer the questions below..

Here are some of the questions:
Are you attracted to black women?
If yes, are you dating someone outside of your race?
If yes, why are you dating someone outside of your race
Are you now dating people outside of your race from negative past experiences with black women?
Do you think women of other races are more tamed than black women?
If you could say something to some black women. What would you say?

Please give your answers by commenting below or you can send your answers to me [email protected].
I’d really love to hear what you guys think..

Know these 2 Facts by Daniel Oyinloye

Note to self:

Know these 2 FACTS and reclaim your existence which in turn gives you confidence to live well.

1. We ALL Where born great | Smart | Talented. No one person should get all the pressure of being different. Choose to live (by that i really mean get out of yourself and stop trying to hold on to who you are. YOU JUST ARE.

2. We ALL were born with a strong longing, a fascinating desire. Know this vacuum (so It Seems) WILL NOT be filled with drugs, sex, and alcohol. It could only be filled entirely with a piece of your creator.

And Daniel remember that science is really just a story. They said the world was flat for the longest time and then it became round. Yes, it’s the best story we have appropriated but not the best story we’ve got! SCIENCE MEANS STUDY OF. In this case the artist and scientist are all scientists and all we have been doing is the STUDY OF GOD to grasp a better understanding of our self, and our environment. Why not just pick up the bible while you are at it. It’s a humble gift to you.

Tips to help you successfully deal with Academic Difficulty Part 2

1. Stay positive-This is so important.. Speak positively about the situation. Think positively about the situation and stay positive. You have to make a conscious effort to do this because it is not easy. Life is all about perspective, so give a positive spin to the situation.

2.  Counseling-I remember one of my classmates suggesting this to me. I went for two sessions and that was it. I have nothing against counseling; try it if it works for you use it. Personally, I didn’t stick to it because I made God my counselor. What does that mean? I would literally schedule time to spend time with God to get through this.

3. Speak life to the situation- I changed my vocabulary about the situation. Every time, I remember that I just failed. I would open my mouth and say “I am a success story.” Yes, you just failed. It doesn’t make any sense to use your words to beat yourself up. Use your words to speak life. You can say, “The lord will perfect that which concerns me” but make sure you speak life.

4. Exercise-Do whatever you do to help you with stress. If you like going out with friends to relax, do it. It has to be something you enjoy. For me, exercise helps me a lot with stress. I suggest, it should be something that will help you relieve stress.

5. Read– One of the books, I read which really helped me out was “the traveler’s Gift” by Andy Andrews. This book talks about a guy who is going through failure all around and he goes around meeting prominent people in history who give him some amazing advice about life. You don’t have to read this book but read a self-improvement book.

6. Take responsibility for what happened. Don’t say this teacher didn’t like me. You can’t move forward unto you take responsibility for what happened to you. Complete this sentence: I am here because I didn’t…  Complete this sentence honestly without beating yourself up.

7. You have to move forward. Moving forward could mean trying again and again. Whatever moving forward means to you do. For me, it meant trying again which I did but it didn’t work; however, I persevered. You might have to change your major etc but do not put your education on pause. Go forward.

8. This is not the time to talk to negative people. When you are at your lowest this is when your friends need to be your cheerleader. Cut out talking to negative people. If the negative person is your family member decrease the amount of time you talk to them. When you are very vulnerable at this time, you can’t afford to talk to people who will pull you down.

9. Look over your school journey what will you do differently next time? Implement the necessary changes you need now.

10. Never believe you are a failure.  Believe that the best is yet to come. People who are afraid to try already accepted failure. You didn’t, you gave it your all and that’s what will put you on the road to success. Successful people are not discouraged by failure, they are encouraged by it.

11. Create a journal and write down your thoughts. If you don’t like writing; at least, do videos on your laptop and store them on your computer. You don’t have to upload them on youtube (except you want do).

12. Write down new goals and go after them.

13. See yourself already where you want to be. This academic difficulty situation caused me to post pone my graduation. It was very important for me to see myself walking across that stage before it happened.

Day dream about where you want to be and see yourself there.  I had pictures of people with graduation gowns all over my dorm room. Your mind is the canvas you use to paint your future. Paint wisely! Remember as a man thinks in his heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7)

No matter how many times you get knocked down, you have to get back up. Please, get back up and move forward!

Living in Purity in an Impure World

After reading this article, I had to share it.
Living pure in this world is a struggle for Christians too.

purity ring

In my childhood I faced some situations that no child should never go through.
The situation is so bad that I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
It’s not funny when your innocence is stolen away from you as a child.
If you knew what I went through, you’d be surprised why I am not promiscuous.

The enemy planned to ensnare me in my childhood…BUT GOD!
Parents prayerfully cover your children’s childhood because their childhood experiences might affect them for the rest of their lives.
I know homosexuality is a very sensitive topic but most of the gay guys I talk to said they were sexuality molested in their childhood.
Peoples childhood experiences are not a joke..
The enemy is strategic in his plan; he is not waiting till kids are grown to expose them to sex.
He is capturing them young to set them on a path to sexual promiscuity in their adult life.

Staying pure in an impure world is a struggle for every Christian..
I pray God continue to help us to stay pure for him..

Single Ladies, Get Higher!

“Who God has for you is for you and will only have eyes for you”-  Kim Brooks

If he says.. he likes you but he has wandering eyes (watch out)..
Indirectly, he is telling you are not what he wants.
Guys will continue to search for what they want until they find it.

Your Boaz-man should only have eyes for you.
Boaz was a rich man, he could have had any woman he wanted but his eyes were only on Ruth.
He wasn’t checking out Ruth and another servant girl.

We will settle for any guy if we don’t know our identity in Christ.
Low self-esteem women are also prone to settling..

Know your identity in Christ and use that to build up your self-esteem.

I challenge you to get higher in your relationship with God and self-esteem before your next relationship.

God wants the best for us.
We will never meet God’s best for us.. if we keep settling for the counterfeits.
