Why we Feel Embarrassed?

We feel embarrassed because we are scared of what people think about us.
So you climbed the stairs and fell. What is the big deal if people see you falling?
Yes people will definitely laugh.
Would I laugh?
If you didn’t get hurt, I would laugh too.
Get up, laugh it off and keep on going.
There’s no need to be embarrassed.
You didn’t fall on purpose.

There are some people who try to embarrass themselves on purpose for attention.
It didn’t happen on purpose. Again, laugh it off and keep on going.
The truth is nobody wants to look stupid in front of people.
At some point in your life, you will look stupid.
You might say things the wrong way.
People get embarrassed over a lot of things.
Note: Everybody is prone to mistakes. We are not all perfect.

The bible says “the fear of man is a trap” (Proverbs 29:25).
If people weren’t there to see you falling, you wouldn’t feel embarrassed thus, it shouldn’t matter.
God’s opinion matters because he is God.
Your spouse’s opinion is important.
Your boss opinion is important because she or he pays you.
We can’t please people.
Stop being afraid of people!!

Laugh it off and Move on with your Life!

This one is for my Nigerian sisters.
Don’t allow anyone force you into marriage especially when you know this person doesn’t love you and you don’t love the person.
Our culture defines women by their marital status.
That’s why a lot of women in our society are miserable in their marriages.
I rather be single and happy than married and miserable.

Culture is important but our happiness is also important.

As we all know marriage is a long term commitment.
Since marriage is a long term journey, you have to take your time with your decision.
Forget about your age and the pressure from your family.
Don’t let people plan your life and future for you.
Fight for the life you want by learning to make your own decisions.

*Please don’t make a lifelong decision hastily*

1. Don’t succumb to pressure
2. Take your time and make your own decision
3. Be honest with yourself. Does this man really love you like he claims? Does he show you he loves you? Do you love him? If he was disabled would you still love him?
4. Pray about your decision.
5. Educate yourself about love. Read books. Talk to people you know will always tell you the truth..
6. See both sides.
7. Make your decision.

We are not properties. We can make our OWN decisions without assistance!

Miserable people like seeing other people miserable..

????????????????????????????????????????Yesterday, I chose to get angry over something someone did. I did not say he or she made me angry, I said I chose to get angry. I said it that way because I had a choice not to get angry but I chose to get angry.

We can’t control what people do to us but we can control how we respond to people. We want to respond emotionally when people do things we don’t like, but anybody who can make you angry has power over you.

Don’t give people the power to control your emotions. Our emotions should be stable regardless of what people do to us. Anyone who can control your emotions can control you.
I saw pleasure on this girl’s face yesterday and I told myself, I can’t let this happen again. Miserable people want to make other people miserable. It is important that we don’t allow people’s actions control our emotions.

If they can control your emotions, they can control you. If you don’t want people to control you don’t let their actions control your emotions.

Make Up..

I remember telling myself once I fix this and that about myself, I will feel more beautiful.
The Holy Spirit was like “no, you wouldn’t. If you don’t feel beautiful now, you wouldn’t feel more beautiful once those things are fixed.”
ImageI can’t argue with the holy spirit..
There’s no external fix for low self-esteem.

A lot of women think they can cure low self-esteem by wearing a lot of make-up, getting breast implants, botox, wearing fake butts or getting injections to make their butts bigger.
Women who get breast implants because of breast cancer are an exception.

Low self-esteem is an internal problem that requires an internal intervention.
Low self-esteem can only be cured inside out not outside in.

There’s nothing wrong with wearing make-up; however, if you need to wear makeup to feel more beautiful, check yourself.

Dear Lord,

How can more than 2 year of investment vanish in span of just two days. I’d be lying if I say, I didn’t like him. What do u call love in the presence of fear? Or can love strive in the absence of trust? We fought, giggled, laughed with each other and even stayed up to insane early hrs of the morning conversing. Now, we have nothing to show for it. Why did it have to end this way? The mountain was too big for us to climb.

Help me to trust you knowing that this road bump was the best thing that could have ever happened to us. You’re the source of everything good. Help me to trust you that the best is yet to come for me. Being complete is you is the goal from here out. You’re the source of my strength, joy, peace and happiness. moving-on  James 1:17 says “every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.” May I center my life on the  best gift you gave to me by sacrificing your son. Your son died, so I could be free from the law of  sin and death. Life is nothing without you. You’re the essence of life.

I serve you with all my heart. I give it all to you by serving nothing else. May I not idolize anything but only you. He wasn’t your best for me because if he was it would have worked out. This companionship wasn’t bless by you. in the beginning. The bible said the foolish man built his house on the sand and he suffered the consequences. Anything that starts with the wrong foundation will crash in the midst of storms, and dangerous winds. Your word is the strongest foundation to build anything to last. With you as the foundation, a relationship is sure to stand in the midst of perilous threats. You’re the pillar that holds this life of mine. Without you, I am nothing.

As I close this chapter, I forgive every hurt and pain that I procured over the yrs. Every seed of hurt, distrust, manipulation and satanic fuse of forgiveness is hereby, uprooted. My heart is free of hate, disgust, self-pity and depression. My heart soars over the problems of the past and makes the best out of every good and bad memory. My heart will not deter from your word. I will use my grief as a stepping ground to something better for this next chapter.

The next chapter will be full of bliss and happy ending. I will accept my past with open arms and use it as a bridge to better things. I will not retaliate in anger or hurt to the person. My heart within is full of joy, peace and everything necessary to help me move on.

Life is full of challenges. It is time to challenge my challenges, and make them to work for my benefit. I trust my instincts and I will never turn away from trusting them to any untruthful person.  , I chase the one who really proved he cared about me with no question YOU! I am complete in You.

My black is beautiful..

I grew up in Nigeria to see most women with relaxed hair.
Mind you, straight hair is not how God made us.
God created black people with kinky curly hair.
Most of us with relaxed hair have it cos our mothers, peers, friends had relaxed hair..

Racism has affected our race so much that we self-loath ourselves.
Even in the black community, our natural hair textures is frowned upon.
I believe God doesn’t make mistakes..
God made us with kinky curly hair textures for a reason..
We are not smarter than God. He would have given us a straighter hair textures if he wanted.

This makes me angry cos as black people, we have allowed the effects of slavery to linger.
During slavery..
white people told our ancestors that we are ugly with other gruesome stuff.
Yes, our ancestors bought into the lie and they got desperate to change themselves to something they are not..

We put harsh chemicals into our hair to make it straight.
Yes.. A lot of us relax our hair to make it more manageable.
Think about it, if our ancestors had kept their natural hair..
most of us would have been natural today.

I am very close to going completely natural..
I have a very coarse thick hair, if I go natural now.. I wouldn’t be able to comb my hair.
It’s that thick.

Trust me, the day I discover what I can use to soften my natural texture that will be the day I go natural.
Even now, my hair is not completely straight..
You’d think I would get support from my own people?
No!!
The society shouldn’t set the standard for us on our God-given nature.

We have to stop buying into this slavery, self-loathing mentality..
Our black is beautiful.
We are beautiful just the way God made us.
I support you all my natural sistas.
I will be joining you so..
We are beautiful with our kinky curly hair.

In the efforts to be something we are not..
a lot of black girls/ladies/women have damaged their hair.
We all have the ability to grow long beautiful hair but we can’t cos we are busy trying to change ourselves to please society.

Who cares about society?
Not me..
Our ancestors bought into the lies doesn’t mean we have to do the same.
It’s time, we stop pleasing others as a race for once and do the right thing best for our hair.

I think our hair is completely manageable..
we just have to find a healthier way without all these harsh chemicals..

The price of pleasing society is too expensive..
We are spending too much money on relaxers, wigs, weaves, etc
and all we have to do is come together figure out a way to have manageable hair with less short and long-term consequences.

We are not straight.. We are kinky curly.

If money could make us happy..
rich people would be the happiest people on earth..

If power could make us happy..
Presidents would be the happiest people on earth..

If success could make us happy..
Successful people would be the happiest people on earth.

If friends could make us happy..
people with friends would be the happiest people on earth..

If family could make us happy..
People who have families would be the happiest people on earth..

If kids could make us happy..
parents would be the happiest people on earth.

If drugs could make us happy,
drug addicts would be the happiest people on earth.

Nothing in this life can make us happy except God.
There’s a void in us that only God can fill.

All these things will fail but God will never ever fail..
