Since I was born this clock has been ticking and ticking..
Nobody should be pressured to make a lifelong commitment hastily.

People under pressure make dumb mistakes like marrying someone they didn’t want to marry.
Love is important in a marriage.
Unlike some of you in your marriages, I want to be happy in my marriage.
I just don’t want to tolerate my marriage because of the children.

As a Nigerian Woman at my age, it is absolutely a crime to be single.
As soon as a Nigerian woman graduates from college, she gets all sorts of pressure to get married.
I want to be married someday.
I want to have a husband and three beautiful children or four by God’s grace.
Marriage is not a joke.
Marriage is a long-term commitment.
STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP THE PRESSUREEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Marriage is for LIFE.
As soon as I say “I do.” That is it!!
I don’t believe in divorce.
For a woman who doesn’t believe in DIVORCE, I need my space away from every pressure to make my decision.
A woman knows what she wants.
If I am still single at my age, OMG!!! The world is not ending.
STOP THE PRESSURE!

A lot of women Marry for several reasons.
Not this Woman: I will only marry for LOVE and NOTHING ELSE.
No Single Woman can Force any man to love her and you CAN’T force her to love someone she doesn’t want because of a clock.
I rather wait patiently and be happy in my marriage than rush and be miserable.
Being Single is not A Crime..

Why we Feel Embarrassed?

We feel embarrassed because we are scared of what people think about us.
So you climbed the stairs and fell. What is the big deal if people see you falling?
Yes people will definitely laugh.
Would I laugh?
If you didn’t get hurt, I would laugh too.
Get up, laugh it off and keep on going.
There’s no need to be embarrassed.
You didn’t fall on purpose.

There are some people who try to embarrass themselves on purpose for attention.
It didn’t happen on purpose. Again, laugh it off and keep on going.
The truth is nobody wants to look stupid in front of people.
At some point in your life, you will look stupid.
You might say things the wrong way.
People get embarrassed over a lot of things.
Note: Everybody is prone to mistakes. We are not all perfect.

The bible says “the fear of man is a trap” (Proverbs 29:25).
If people weren’t there to see you falling, you wouldn’t feel embarrassed thus, it shouldn’t matter.
God’s opinion matters because he is God.
Your spouse’s opinion is important.
Your boss opinion is important because she or he pays you.
We can’t please people.
Stop being afraid of people!!

Nigerian Guys and Chivalry

A lot of Nigerian guys hate the word “chivalry” or refuse to know that that word exist. I understand our culture supports the idea that men are superior to women, so men feel they don’t need to do much. Your Nigerian lady deserves to be treated like a lady. We make culture not the other way around.

Chivalry is a western custom we need to adopt into our culture. It’s not just about pulling out chairs or opening doors for your lady. It’s about treating your lady like a lady. Most Nigerian guys refuse to recognize chivalry because it acknowledges the woman first. Our aggressive Nigerian men want to be first in everything even before their wives. Practicing chivalry subconsciously affirms to your woman that she comes first before anybody else even you. Guys who practice chivalry are called “gentlemen.” Your Nigerian lady deserves to be with gentleman.

You will discover more benefits as you adopt chivalry into relationship. I know Nigerian women are strong women but we still need our guys to treat us like ladies. Some Nigerian women don’t like chivalry but if your lady loves it, do it!

Killing Lust Series: Be Careful little Eyes what you see

When I was younger, my Sunday school teacher taught me this song. We have to be careful what we see. The bible says the person who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed a sin in their heart. Society encourages us to look. Guys and Girls look. There’s nothing wrong with looking but that second look will get you in trouble.

When you see someone attractive usually the first look is innocent but looking the second time is never innocent. Society has this cliché saying “look but don’t touch.” Well, if you are looking eventually you will touch. Lust has no restraints. We have to make sure our action is not encouraging lust in our lives.

We can’t control who we see initially but we have to control ourselves from taking that second look. We can’t do anything by ourselves. We need to ask daily to help us not to look at people lustfully. For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). 

Stop Complaining Black Women: Learn their Tactics

Black Women, women of other races are taking the majority of your men. This is a serious problem for black women who love their black men. Complaining wouldn’t bring them back. Ladies, you need to start figuring out what is going on or you will lose all your men to other women (God forbid!).

Let’s Talk..

To have an edge over your competition, you have to study their tactics; however, there’s one fact you can’t change. You can’t change who black men are attracted to. There are some black men who are only attracted to black women, but there are some who are only attracted to women of other races and others who are attracted to both.  We all have preferences. Everybody has the right to be with whomever they want to be with. No black man should be ridiculed for choosing a woman of another race. Thus, if a black man loves a woman of another race; we have to respect his decision because we can’t change it anyway. Why get mad over something you can’t change in the first place?

Instead of hating on women of other races, you need to start figuring out how to win the competition. So far, you are losing. Big time! If black men have a self hate thing going on that’s their cup of tea to figure out. Black women (especially in the states) have a bad reputation for being loud, obnoxious, and full of drama. So maybe these women are not taking our men. Maybe we are the ones chasing them away..

It’s time to start studying your competition and their tactics to win the game.

Side Note- Black Women, forget the competition, and start considering people outside your race!
